THE PALETTE
Circuitry as ornament.
A satin board, glossy black chips, a fine metal frame. The exterior is decorative; the working computer lives inside.
- 01Lose the cooler
Remove bulk from the retired outer board.
- 02Unify the finish
Oxblood satin preserves the raised detail.
- 03Finish like a bag
Lined leather sides, protected edges, flush cover.

Two batteries. Two jobs.
INSIDE THE PURSE
Choose the workload.
Use watt-hours printed on the pack. A pack's mAh rating alone does not describe its energy without voltage.
ESTIMATED PURSE RUNTIME
28.3 Wh delivered to the station
Runtime = Wh × (1 − reserve) × efficiency ÷ W
Planning allowance: 10-minute advertised flight time, less a 20% reserve. Payload, wind and flying style can reduce this.
A larger purse battery does not extend a flight. Recharging between flights is not included in the purse model.
Crazyflie Brushless specifications ↗03 / FLIGHT LAB
A little room to fly.
Practice the control concept in an 8 × 6 m virtual room. No radio, camera or aircraft is connected.
VIRTUAL CONTROLS
Arrow keys / WASD to move · +/− altitude · Space to pause. Tap arrows for 0.25 m steps. Altitude: 0.3–2 m.
Illustrative motion, not an aerodynamic model. Link loss ends this demo on the ground; a real aircraft needs its own tested failsafe. Leaving this view or hiding the page pauses the simulation. Every session expires after two minutes.
04 / BUILD NOTES
What makes it work.
The GPU board is the face of the bag. A separate working system makes it a control station.
No physical fit, thermal performance or flight link has been validated.| Part | Lives in | Job | Before building |
|---|---|---|---|
| Retired GPU board | Outer panel | Decorative surface | Remove cooler; test coating on scrap; cover edges and components. |
| Host computer | Purse | Low-power host + radio | Select a host compatible with the radio and control software. |
| Radio link | Purse + drone | Commands and telemetry | Match protocol and hardware; test range and loss behavior. |
| Station battery | Purse | Power host and radio | Protected pack, regulated supply, charging and thermal design. |
| Flight controller | Drone | Stabilization and local failsafe | Must remain responsible for stable flight if the purse disconnects. |
| Drone battery | Drone | Power motors and flight electronics | Use the aircraft's specified pack and charger. |
| Lining + compartment | Purse | Protect contents and store drone | Measure the complete assembly, propeller guards and cooling clearance. |
